The Story of Galatea
Galatea - means "sleeping love" as well as "she who is
milk-white"
We found our inspiration for naming our business in Greek
Mythology. The story of Galatea and Pygmalion is a
love story. A sculptor named Pygmalion fell in love
with an ivory statue he had created with his own hands.
He fiercely prayed to Aphrodite, the Goddess of love, for a
wife as beautiful as his ivory creation. Aphrodite
answered his prayers and turned his statue into a living
woman.
